Dear friends,

Greetings from Verbier! As I kick off my residency at the festival there are some recent updates I’m thrilled to share with you.

Neuropiano

An exciting new project of mine is Neuropiano, a multidisciplinary collaboration involving several research teams that explores a pianist’s brain activity during performance, using Neuroscape’s extraordinary Glass Brain technology. A live-concert version of this is the Neurorecital, which I shall be premiering as part of my residency at the Verbier Festival. The project has been receiving much press across the globe; read more about it in Classic FMRadio Classique and SFCV, among other outlets, and stay tuned for several forthcoming features and interviews.

Summer performances

I’m very thankful for the critical responses to my recent recitals, concerto appearances and chamber music performances. Here are a few excerpts:

“A simply superb Wigmore Hall recital. His technique is fearless; and he is a real thinker… He conjures up whole worlds in his playing… A magisterial performance, an absolute masterclass in piano playing…” Seen and Heard International

“Luminous… Deeply introspective and sensitive, with exceptionally close communication with the orchestra… Interpretative depth and technical refinement.” KlasikaPlus

“I was more profoundly moved by this night’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor by Dmitri Shostakovich than any other… Namoradze brought forth the darkness with hints of a folk tune growing to a macabre klezmer.” YourObserver

For further updates and news make sure to keep an eye on my website as well as my social media, and I hope to see you during my travels!

Kind regards,

Nicolas
