Dear friends,

As we get into the summer season I’m thrilled to share some exciting recent developments.

Professorships

Starting this fall, I shall be teaching piano and chamber music on the faculty of the City University of New York Graduate Center and at The Juilliard School. It is an honor to be returning to my alma maters in this capacity, and I’m thrilled to begin work with the students at both institutions next semester.

“Legendary Names”

My broadcast performance of Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Maestro Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra has continued to receive critical acclaim. Most recently, it was featured among thirty-five performances in medici.tv’s list of “history’s most celebrated pianists.”

Verbier and more

Projects this month include a recital at Munich’s Isarphilharmonie and a residency at the Verbier Festival, where I shall be giving a solo recital, serving on the guest faculty — giving masterclasses and a series of mental skills workshops — and curating and hosting a set of conversations on music and the brain.

For more information, check out the details on my website as well as my social media, and I hope to see you during my travels!

Kind regards,

Nicolas
